Ad favorites of Superbowl XLI
WICHITA, Kansas, Feb. 5, 2007 - Super Bowl advertisements are the big topic of discussion around the water coolers today. That's also the case at Associated Advertising in downtown Wichita.
Associated employees discussed the ads this morning and also did an internet survey to see which ones scored with people in the Wichita area.
The top pick was Bud Light's Rock, Paper Scissors commercial, which corroborates a similar national USA Today survey.
"It was just funny, made me laugh and to me that's what Super Bowl ads should be about," Charlie Wells, Associated Advertising, said.
CareerBuilder came in second.
"CareerBuilder is a surprise to us because it did very well in our survey, but did not rank in the top 10 nationally," Mike Snyder, Associated Advertising C.E.O. said.
Budweiser ads ranked third among local viewers, followed by Snickers, Coca-Cola Co., Doritos, General Motors, Nationwide Insurance and Taco Bell.
The Associated Advertising poll also found that 26 percent of the people surveyed said they enjoyed the advertisements most, while 24 percent preferred watching the game. Half of those surveyed said they enjoyed both equally.
It costs $2.6 million for a 30-second spot.
