Associated Goes Red
On Friday, Feb. 2, employees of Associated Advertising commemorated the American Heart Association’s national “Go Red For Women” day by wearing red. Associated, whose staff is 50 percent women, also made a donation to the Heart Association on behalf of each employee. The “Go Red” movement creates awareness of heart disease in women and its role as the leading cause of death for females. Cardiovascular disease kills more than 480,000 women a year -- about one per minute -- more than the next four most common causes of death combined.
